As a Sheet Metal Fabricator you will work closely with experienced machinists, engineers, and technicians to support the daily operations of our high-volume cutting shop and our metal forming shop. You will gain valuable insight into the manufacturing process of high-precision aerospace components and contribute to the production of parts for aerospace applications. This role offers the opportunity to flex between CNC operation, manual water jet operations, CNC bending, and manual forming operations for next-gen development vehicles.
Job Responsibility:
Support the execution of laser cutting and water jet operations to prepare and deliver high-precision components under the guidance of experienced team members.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models assisted with digital work instructions to assist in the setup and production of aerospace parts.
Operate metal forming equipment including but not limited to brake presses, shears, English wheels, rollers, and drill presses with the assistance of experienced technicians and leadership
Aid in the in-process inspection and measurement of parts using precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and various gauges ensuring parts meet aerospace industry standards and tolerances.
Help with the setup and basic maintenance of machines, including cleaning and tool changes.
Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while operating machinery and handling materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Assist in documenting production processes, measurements, and quality control checks as required.
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of machining processes and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in basic math and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong interest in aerospace manufacturing and technology.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
Problem-solving skills and initiative to contribute to process improvements.
Ability to work in a hands-on, physically demanding environment.

Nice to have:
Prior experience in a development manufacturing environment.
Prior experience with laser cutting systems and a deep technical understanding of their functionality and how parameters influence component output.
Prior experience metal forming precision components with complex geometries requiring multiple set-ups to achieve final part form.
