Job Description:

We are looking for a SharePoint Consultant to support a Long-term Contract engagement in East Lansing, Michigan. This role will focus on improving the North American intranet experience by organizing content, simplifying navigation, and creating a more consistent SharePoint environment. The consultant will partner with site owners across business functions to strengthen usability, address outdated information, and help teams maintain their pages after the project is completed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assess the current North American intranet structure and recommend practical improvements that make information easier to locate and use
  • Reorganize SharePoint pages and content libraries to create a cleaner, more consistent experience across sites
  • Identify and correct broken links, outdated materials, and formatting issues throughout the intranet environment
  • Standardize page layouts, content presentation, and site structure to improve usability and continuity
  • Collaborate with departmental site owners to gather content, clarify page needs, and align updates with business priorities
  • Provide guidance and training to internal page owners so they can confidently manage and maintain their sections going forward
  • Support light SharePoint design enhancements when needed to improve readability and user engagement
  • Assist with basic administrative deliverables such as preparing presentations or drafting internal communications as requested

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint administration, configuration, and site support
  • Hands-on experience improving SharePoint usability, content organization, and intranet navigation
  • Ability to review large volumes of existing content and apply consistent formatting and structure
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver practical site improvements
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to train non-technical users on maintaining SharePoint pages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and comfort handling light administrative documentation tasks
  • Portfolio samples or examples of prior SharePoint projects are strongly preferred
