This role will focus on SharePoint administration, permissions cleanup, data tagging, and DLP compliance, while also supporting internal teams through training and guidance on best practices.
Job Responsibility:
Support the redesign and optimization of the organization’s SharePoint environment
Perform SharePoint administration, including site management and structure improvements
Conduct permissions cleanup and governance reviews to ensure appropriate access controls
Implement and manage data tagging and classification to support compliance initiatives
Support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) compliance efforts within SharePoint and related Microsoft environments
Assist with documentation, governance policies, and best practices for SharePoint usage
Provide coaching and training to internal users on SharePoint functionality and compliance standards
Collaborate with internal IT teams and stakeholders to improve SharePoint usability and security
Requirements:
Strong experience with SharePoint administration (SharePoint Online preferred)
Experience performing permissions cleanup and access governance
Experience with Microsoft DLP policies and compliance frameworks
Familiarity with data tagging, classification, and information protection
Ability to support training and user enablement for SharePoint environments
U.S. Citizenship required (client is a government contractor)
Nice to have:
Experience working in DoD or government-regulated environments
Familiarity with CMMC, NIST, or other federal security frameworks
Experience supporting SharePoint governance or restructuring initiatives
Background working with MSPs or consulting environments
