Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Administrator to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Draper, Utah. This position involves managing and enhancing the security, governance, and administration of Microsoft 365 tools, with a particular focus on Microsoft Purview. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint administration and a proactive approach to addressing existing gaps while preparing for future development initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer SharePoint environments, ensuring proper access controls, permissions, and security configurations
  • Leverage Microsoft Purview to strengthen data governance, compliance, and security across Microsoft 365 platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID
  • Collaborate with external teams to resolve current issues in the SharePoint environment and implement necessary remediation measures
  • Conduct thorough analyses to identify opportunities for improving SharePoint functionality and security
  • Work closely with internal teams to prepare the environment for upcoming development and governance enhancements
  • Monitor and manage administrative configurations, addressing any gaps in governance and security
  • Provide expert guidance to support ongoing initiatives aimed at modernizing collaboration tools within the organization
  • Ensure seamless integration between SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services, optimizing their functionality and security
  • Create and maintain documentation for administrative processes, security protocols, and governance standards
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve the SharePoint environment

Requirements

  • At least 7–10 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint administration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Purview at an administrative level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve gaps in governance, security, and administrative configurations
  • Strong understanding of data governance and compliance principles within Microsoft 365
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Ability to create detailed documentation for processes and protocols
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory integrations within Microsoft 365 environments
