We have a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their HR journey to join our Shared Services team at Team Valley, Gateshead. Reporting into the HR Shared Service Manager, this role will give you hands-on exposure to the full employee lifecycle—from candidate application through to onboarding. With full training provided, this is a brilliant opportunity to build a strong foundation across Recruitment, HR and Reward within a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Job Responsibility
Supporting the new starter process from offer through to first day
Answering internal and external calls, providing HR support and guidance
Producing employment contracts for internal and external candidates
Assisting managers with Right to Work (Prevention of Illegal Working) checks and documentation
Processing new starter information across HR and payroll systems
Supporting the DBS checking process
Maintaining third-party systems to enable colleague access
General administration including data entry, mail merges and reporting
Requirements
Keen to start a career in HR or already studying towards a CIPD qualification (desirable, not essential)
Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail
Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
A great communicator who enjoys working in a busy, high-volume environment
Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
