Job Description:

This vacancy is for a Shared Lives carer to provide short breaks/respite. The carer, Debbie, has a large ground floor flat with two double bedrooms available. The home is not wheelchair accessible. The household includes two friendly small dogs. Activities include spending time with friends and family, going to car boot sales, and visiting garden centres. The local area of Dawlish offers arcades, cafés, shops, a leisure centre, a bank, and sea fronts. It is well-connected by train and bus.

Job Responsibility:

Providing short break / respite care

Requirements:

Experience supporting people with Physical disabilities
Experience supporting people with Dementia
Experience supporting people with Learning disabilities
Experience supporting people with Autism and Asperger’s
Experience supporting older people
Experience supporting people with a sight or hearing impairment
Experience as a care assistant in various care settings
Experience as a manager for a phone centre supporting young adults/teenagers
Experience as a landlord for young adults with support needs
