Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a sessional tutor to deliver a variety of Sewing courses, in and around the South Bucks area, namely Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield. Also the Chilterns area, namely Amersham and Chesham. The tutor will work flexibly between 2-10 hours per week during the daytime/evening.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver a variety of Sewing courses
  • Plan and deliver weekly classes of 5-11 week courses, or monthly weekday workshops
  • Plan and deliver sessions that stretch and challenge learners knowledge and skills
  • Support adult learners to develop their knowledge and skills
  • Contribute to the development of a learner centred learning provision
  • Occasional Saturday workshops

Requirements:

  • Introductory teaching/training award such as City & Guilds PTLLS/Award in Education and Training (or willing to obtain one within 6 months of appointment)
  • Subject specific qualification to NVQ 3/HNC standard or equivalent
  • Ability to plan and deliver high quality sessions while maintaining good records of student progress
