Job Description:

As a Sewer and Waterman Pipe Layer, you will play a crucial role in the installation, repair, and decommissioning of sewer and water systems. You will be responsible for laying, aligning, and sealing pipes, ensuring that they meet project specifications and quality standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the construction team to contribute to the successful completion of various infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Pipe Installation: Lay sewer and water pipes in trenches according to project specifications
  • Alignment and Grading: Ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes to facilitate efficient water and waste flow
  • Connectivity: Connect pipes to sewer and water systems, manholes, and other structures as required
  • Quality Control: Inspect pipes for defects, damages, or misalignments and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the construction team, including equipment operators and laborers, to ensure smooth project workflow
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sewer and Waterman Pipe Layer in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of pipe laying techniques, excavation, and grading
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant certification or training in pipe laying and construction
