You will be expected as Sever power firmware design expert, involve design activity from early stage (Proof-Of-Concept) to mass production, including driven new technology, qualification, sustain issues and reliability activities to drive product better. In advance, this position will be the first engagement with architecture, BMC and platform design team. Provide rapid response for our customer requirement.
Job Responsibility
Manage power firmware design life cycle, starting from RFQ to end of life
Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the firmware design
Expected can hands-on design from POC stage and first line contact with component vendors
Requires ability to create power supply specification and work with different functional team to implement power supply new features
Well understand sub-components to deliver quality test plan and coverage
Leads multiple project teams of other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of electrical hardware design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms, including design, validation, tooling and testing
Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards
provides tangible feedback to improve product quality
Provides domain-specific expertise and overall electrical/electronic hardware and platform leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Typically 6-10 years experience
Power Supply FW design (C/C++) hands-on experience with MCUs, Microchip dSPIC, STM32, TI UCD3138, TI C2000 ...
Familiar with low level MCU configuration (Such as PWM, ISR, I2C, UART, SPI...) and control loop implmentation
Knowledge of power supply design and operation principle, design knowledge and hands-on experienced with PFC, PSFB, LLC firmware deisgn
Experienced in Power Supply design architecture of electronic firmware
Design and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience of power supply trouble shooting, resolve issues
Ability to work independently
Develop, test power supply units by using oscillation scope (HV, current probe), electronic load, multi-meter, AC/DC source
Evaluating and proposing forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management
Self-driven to learn new cutting-edge technology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
mastery in English and local language
Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals with internal/external worldwide stakeholders and negotiate options at senior management levels
Nice to have
Multi-project management experience is a plus
Power Shelf ORv3 experience is a plus
Phython, Labview development experience is a plus
