Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Setter 2 - 800 D to join our manufacturing team in Buffalo Grove, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our 800 C machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality.

Job Responsibility

  • Set up, adjust, and operate 800 C machinery according to production specifications and schedules
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues promptly to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Document machine settings, production data, and maintenance activities
  • Train and assist junior operators on proper machine operation and safety procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience as a machine setter or operator, preferably with 800 D machinery or similar equipment
  • Strong technical skills and ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in quality control processes and safety procedures
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery maintenance
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Technical certifications related to machine operation are preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed
