As SET Factory Support Engineer, you manage Supplier Quality escalations that impact factory operations. You lead cross‑functional response efforts to resolve problems effectively by evaluating risk to manufacturing build completion and customer shipment commitments, driving alignment on containment actions across the plant or companywide. In this role, you drive material recovery plans to secure corrective or replacement parts from suppliers, ensuring minimal disruption to production flow and delivery timelines. Through strong technical judgment, clear communication, and a solutions-focused mindset, you help maintain manufacturing stability, safeguard product quality, and support on‑time customer fulfillment.
Job Responsibility:
Act as primary contact to support factory escalation from Lam factories
Review critical part quality issues & provide appropriate response/action plan
Initiate immediate containment action plan & provide timely response to all relevant stakeholders (SE, SBM, Buyer, SCM, SCFS, MQA)
Develop recovery action plan to prevent disruption to Manufacturing &/or delay to tool shipment
support Supplier Rework/Inspection at Lam factories
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, SET and Supply Chain teams to mitigate operational and supply chain risks
Improve Product Quality and ensure Factory Output through systematic problem‑solving and proactive driven initiatives
Requirements:
Engineering Degree or equivalent (Mechanical/Electrical/Science)
8+ years of industrial experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Operation/Quality Assurance, preferably in Semiconductor Industry
Possess good understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong leadership presence and the ability to influence through data
Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Nice to have:
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations, including hands-on experience in processes such as machining, molding, stamping, PCB assembly, electronics, welding, casting, plating, coatings, or other relevant processes
Demonstrated competence in structured, data‑driven problem solving
Capable of interpreting Engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and material specifications
