Sessional Teacher - Community Kitchen

• Plan and deliver engaging cooking workshops for diverse community groups
• Teach practical cooking skills including food preparation, knife safety, budgeting, and healthy meal planning
• Promote healthy eating and nutrition using affordable, accessible ingredients
• Adapt sessions to suit different learning needs and abilities
• Deliver sessions in partnership with community organisations and support settings
• Encourage wellbeing and build confidence through cooking and shared learning
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
• Manage ingredients, equipment, and session resources
• Collect participant feedback and support programme reporting

• Teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or higher) or willingness to work towards one
• Strong cooking skills and experience preparing fresh, healthy meals
• Experience supporting vulnerable groups in community, education, or care settings
• Clear, patient and empathetic communication skills
• Confidence leading groups in a positive, motivating environment
• Ability to travel to partner locations when required
• Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Knowledge of healthy eating and nutrition (desirable)
