Financial Advisor – Wealth Services. Location: On-Site. At Alera Group, our Wealth Services team supports individuals and families in building, protecting, and transferring wealth through comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies. We’re seeking a Financial Advisor who will contribute to client relationships, financial strategy, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibility
Supporting strategic initiatives that strengthen client relationships, retention, and long‑term practice growth
Partnering with cross‑functional teams and fellow advisors to deliver a seamless client experience
Managing client workflows including onboarding, ongoing service, and follow‑up
Preparing, presenting, and implementing customized financial plans for existing clients
Providing holistic financial guidance across investments, insurance, and retirement planning
Analyzing client financial data to inform recommendations and improve outcomes
Attending and presenting at educational workshops for retiree prospects and clients
Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and licensing requirements
Contributing to a collaborative culture that supports colleagues across Alera Group’s national network
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of experience in financial services or advisory roles
Active Connecticut Life insurance license
Active Series 65 or Series 7 & 66 licenses
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and relationship‑management skills
Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning tools used within the advisory function
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment
Strong sense of accountability and ownership for client outcomes
Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and enhance advisory expertise
Strategic thinking with the ability to balance execution and long‑term client goals
Client‑first mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
Comfort traveling locally to meet clients in multiple office locations
