The Services Procurement Senior Associate is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing multiple competitive bid processes, including negotiating and writing vendor contracts for all services related to the development, design and construction of wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
Job Responsibility
Assist Services Procurement Manager with the development of contracting strategies and processes for tendering Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Proactively, reviewing and levelizing vendor proposals, identifying potential risk and negotiating contracts that result in the best value possible
Serve as a liaison between the Procurement, Development, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Estimation departments
Develop and manage purchasing plans and strategies relating to development and construction of the company's wind, solar and battery storage projects
Manage relationships and interfaces with suppliers during the RFP process
Maintain responsibility for bid evaluations, direct supplier interaction for commercial and contractual negotiations, and contract approval prior to contract finalization
Assist with the creation and documentation of a competitive bid process that can be used at all levels of the organization
Assist with the contract award process and produce the presentation of award recommendations to executive level management
Assist with the training of personnel in the RFP process, negotiations, and contract management
Assist with the development of standardized processes and templates for all contracting efforts
Manage documentation, contracts, budgets, schedules, engineering and construction interfaces, project controls, project correspondence, and project reporting on a weekly basis
Organize and prepare agendas for meetings between suppliers and Procurement personnel
Maintain effective communication with all team members
Facilitate the internal engineering, design, and construction review process

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field, Engineering or Construction
5+ years of professional related supply chain, business operations, engineering, construction management, or industry manufacturing experience, including experience with external contract negotiation for services
Experience with procurement, contract and project management preferred
Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction and engineering services and negotiation techniques
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise (Preferred)
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to organize and maintain a fluid administrative process
Statistical and analytical skills for evaluating supplier proposals and pricing
