Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Consultant – CMDB / CSDM to design, implement, and optimize Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The consultant will lead CMDB strategy, data governance, and service mapping initiatives to improve IT service visibility, asset relationships, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead design, configuration, and rollout of ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM solutions aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Conduct discovery workshops with IT and business stakeholders to gather and document ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM requirements
  • Configure and support ServiceNow ITSM modules including Incident, Change, Problem, Request, and Asset integrated with CMDB
  • Implement and maintain ServiceNow Service Mapping and Discovery to ensure accurate service topology and dependency mapping
  • Design scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with IT service management and operational objectives
  • Develop structured CMDB and CSDM roadmaps and articulate implementation strategies
  • Implement system enhancements, new ServiceNow capabilities, and CMDB data model improvements
  • Drive CMDB data quality, governance, and lifecycle management aligned with CSDM standards
  • Manage change control processes, including update sets and migration across ServiceNow environments up to Production
  • Support ServiceNow upgrades, integrations, security configuration, and ongoing platform maintenance
  • Monitor and manage ServiceNow queues for incident resolution, CMDB issues, and service mapping requests
  • Collaborate with architects, platform teams, and stakeholders for documentation, governance, and alignment
  • Participate in on-call support rotation for critical ServiceNow production issues

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of experience working with ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM, including CMDB and Service Mapping
  • Strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow CMDB configuration and CSDM implementation
  • Proven experience implementing ServiceNow Service Mapping and Discovery capabilities
  • Experience in ServiceNow scripting and customization (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes)
  • Knowledge of CMDB data governance, CI lifecycle, identification and reconciliation rules
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs
  • Experience supporting both ServiceNow implementations and post-production operations
  • Strong stakeholder communication, requirement gathering, and ServiceNow solution design skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing ServiceNow consulting environment
