Job Description

Edwards MotorSports in Council Bluffs IA is looking for a Service Writer to join our team! The Service Writer is responsible for speaking to customers about the mechanical issues with their ATV/Motorcycle/Off-road vehicle etc, while working directly with the Service Technicians to relay information and determine the best course of repairs for the vehicles. This person will be in constant contact with employees and customers and will demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Greeting customers, and getting them checked into the system
  • Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and offering alternatives based on customers budgets and needs
  • Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with technicians
  • Informing customers about warranty protections and various programs and discounts
  • Scheduling customers and understanding the work flow of the department
  • Informing customers of changes as they come up and being in continuous contact with customers to make sure they understand the process each step of the way

Requirements

  • Experience with ATVs, Motorcycles, and other Off-Road vehicles is highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and customer focused demeanor
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred
