Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Service Transition & Change Assurance Lead to join the Global Payments & Liquidity Technology (GPLT) organization. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, risk, and production support, and plays a critical role in ensuring that technology changes and new services are introduced into production environments safely, predictably, and with full operational readiness across the payments estate. The environment is highly regulated and high-volume, so this role requires a strong controls mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to challenge delivery teams when readiness or risk standards are not met.

Job Responsibility:

  • Independently drive service transition and change assurance activities across applications and platforms
  • Review upcoming changes and deployments to ensure readiness, risk, and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) are adequately addressed
  • Partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, SRE, production support, service management, and risk teams
  • Validate that services meet key NFR expectations (resiliency, automation, performance, scalability, monitoring) before production onboarding
  • Support post-implementation reviews and embed lessons learned into improved transition and change practices
  • Produce clear status, risk, and readiness reporting for senior technology leadership

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • ITIL Foundation (V3 or V4)
  • Strong understanding of ITSM / ITIL change lifecycle and governance
  • Experience working in large-scale, complex, regulated technology environments or Financial Services
  • Experience reviewing production changes for risk, readiness, and operational impact
  • Exposure to permit-to-operate, service acceptance, or transition gating models
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tooling
  • SRE, production engineering, or DevOps background, particularly the ability to understand and challenge NFR compliance
  • Experience or strong conceptual understanding of treating NFRs as code, including the use of automation or AI-assisted analysis to validate resiliency, performance, observability, and readiness prior to production onboarding
  • PRINCE2 and/or PMP certification
