We are looking for a Service Technician to support low-voltage and physical security projects in South Carolina. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in cabling, access control, and surveillance systems who enjoys field-based technical work. In this role, you will help keep customer systems operating reliably by performing installation, repair, and maintenance tasks across a range of network and security technologies.
Job Responsibility
Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing upkeep of low-voltage systems, including category cable, fiber cabling, and related network infrastructure
Service access control equipment, door hardware, and connected devices to ensure secure and reliable operation
Install and maintain video surveillance solutions, including cameras and supporting components
Build and support pathway structures that protect and organize cabling for security and communications systems
Work independently on routine assignments or coordinate with onsite leadership on more complex service projects
Maintain company-issued tools and equipment in safe, organized, and working condition
Follow established safety procedures and field best practices while working in active jobsite environments
Partner with other technicians and team members to complete service calls efficiently and maintain strong project support
Assist with additional field service duties as business needs require and contribute to a team-oriented work environment
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in physical security, access control, or low voltage cabling installation
Practical experience working with access control platforms and CCTV or surveillance system configuration
Experience and/or certifications with security technology vendors such as Paxton, Avigilon, or similar
High school diploma or equivalent credential
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet requirements for operating company vehicles
Ability to complete all required candidate screening steps
Comfortable using basic measuring tools such as tape measures and levels with accuracy
Willingness to work a flexible schedule when project demands require evening or weekend support
Ability to work at heights, use ladders or lifts safely, and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds
