Job Description:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. This role is pivotal to our ongoing success and offers you the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections, identifying faults and defects accurately
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records for each vehicle serviced
  • Work collaboratively with the service team to meet daily targets and customer expectations
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues about vehicle issues, repairs, and estimated timescales
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and manufacturer training

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Automotive Engineering
  • Proven experience working as a Service Technician or Automotive Mechanic within the automotive industry
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with hands-on experience using diagnostic tools
  • Good understanding of current automotive systems, including hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workload efficiently
  • Full UK driving licence
