Join our team at SKIDATA as a Field Engineer/Service Technician, where you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced access control and parking systems. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience, while working directly with customers and ensuring optimal performance of our systems. This full-time position is ideal for people who enjoy working in a dynamic, customer-facing role. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams and contribute to important projects that ensure the smooth operation of SKIDATA's systems within our parking solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install and maintain SKIDATA's access control and parking management systems, ensuring optimal performance in Belgium.
  • Acting as the face of SKIDATA: you maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure that they are satisfied with our products and services.
  • Diagnosing and resolving on-site faults to minimise disruption to our customers' operations.
  • Working independently on projects, with flexibility in prioritizing tasks and responding to changing customer needs.
  • Be available for on-call services (every 5 weeks), so that the systems remain operational even outside regular working hours, for an additional fee.

Requirements:

  • You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • You are eager to learn and want to grow in a customer-oriented, hands-on engineering role.
  • You are interested in IT and enjoy working with technology.
  • You have experience with software updates and patching.
  • You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working independently, but are also a team player.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and can get by in French and English.
  • You are flexible, proactive and enjoy the challenge of working in a dynamic field service position.
