Job Responsibility

  • Ensure wind turbines operate reliably by carrying out on-site servicing and maintenance
  • Inspect and repair rotor blades on wind turbines
  • Learn about the complex structure of rotor blades and their various components
  • Carry out modification work to improve turbine performance
  • Apply practical skills when working with laminating resins and composite materials
  • Document work digitally in a simple and efficient way

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, metalworking, mechanical and automotive engineering, building services engineering or comparable technical qualification
  • Specialist knowledge of epoxy resins, glass fibre and carbon fibre
  • Qualification as a rope access technician according to FISAT or IRATA Level 3
  • High level of safety awareness, particularly when working with hazardous substances
  • Ability to prepare and document technical reports independently
  • Willingness to travel within Germany during the week
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, ideally experience with SAP
  • Driving licence, ideally class C1E
  • Very good German and good English skills

  • Identifies potential hazards and communicates to management
  • Follows defined instructions and schedules, executes plans as directed, and performs according to the instructions from Resource Management
  • Establishes and maintains proper business relationships with customers, subcontractors, and peers, as well as performs necessary administrative duties accurately
  • Utilizes appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed safely
  • Maintains, properly, tools and equipment used to perform repair activities
