As a Service Technician – Automation, you will be part of the Service team at E80 Group, responsible for all after-sales activities. This role primarily involves maintaining, repairing, modifying, upgrading, and performing preventive checks on various machines installed at our clients' sites.
Job Responsibility:
Keep all E80 system components running smoothly through regular inspections and maintenance, whether scheduled or due to breakdowns
Carry out preventive maintenance tasks
Perform corrective maintenance or troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on machines
Calibrate or configure individual machines or devices
Handle partial or complete upgrades or modifications on outdated systems
Prepare reports and spare parts lists after completing work
Monitor the E80 system's performance, reporting any problems or issues to the appropriate managers
Travel to customer sites in the Melbourne area, across Australia, and New Zealand
Requirements:
Technical Qualification in electromechanical field or industrial automation preferred (or equivalent/transferable skills)
Automotive/Heavy Diesel, Machinery, and experience working on forklifts desirable
Auto electrical experience also considered
Proven experience as an electrical, electromechanical, or service technician in automation or manufacturing environments
Skills in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics, as well as mechanical drawings
Experience, even if limited, with Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, and/or FANUC control systems would be a bonus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and independently
Ability to communicate with and provide reports directly to the customer
Flexibility, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work under pressure
English (advanced or native level)
Strong ability to learn on the job and work independently
Ability to perform electromechanical work, including at heights (training provided)
Permanent rights to work in Australia, with no restriction
Valid driver’s license and car owner
Nice to have:
Experience, even if limited, with Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, and/or FANUC control systems would be a bonus
