Work closely with the Field Line Manager to develop and implement strategies that promote continuous improvement and enhance team efficiency
Provide mentorship and training to team members, helping them develop their technical skills and fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development
Assist in the induction of new team members, ensuring they are fully prepared with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
Actively participate in engineering tasks, providing practical, on-the-ground support and troubleshooting complex systems, products, and issues
Offer over-the-phone technical assistance to team members, helping them resolve challenges swiftly and efficiently
Regularly conduct health and safety audits within the engineering team, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Develop and enforce action plans to address any safety concerns, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members
Monitor and ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standards, meeting both customer expectations and business objectives
Serve as the primary communication link between field operations and the office, ensuring clear and consistent information flow
Facilitate feedback from the field to management, helping to refine processes and improve service delivery
Plan and schedule work assignments, effectively organising personnel and material resources to meet project timelines and objectives
Requirements
Experience with Gent and Notifier systems
Proven experience in field electrical and supervisory/management
Considerable demonstrable Fire Systems industry experience
Industry specific qualifications (FIA or equivalent)
You must be fully qualified, with a certificate in IOSH or SSSTS (Health and Safety)
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Sound knowledge of contract terms and pricing
People management skills
Hold a full driving licence
Ability to create and build strong relationships, with a professional approach
