Job Description

To provide essential support to the Field Line Manager, leading a diverse team of engineers, ensuring the seamless delivery of all engineering services within KPI guidelines. This position offers a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning, making it ideal for a proactive and motivated individual ready to make a significant impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Create an environment where engineers are motivated to achieve their best
  • Work closely with the Field Line Manager to develop and implement strategies that promote continuous improvement
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members
  • Assist in the induction of new team members
  • Actively participate in engineering tasks
  • Offer over-the-phone technical assistance to team members
  • Regularly conduct health and safety audits
  • Develop and enforce action plans to address any safety concerns
  • Monitor and ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standards
  • Serve as the primary communication link between field operations and the office
  • Facilitate feedback from the field to management
  • Plan and schedule work assignments

Requirements

  • Experience with Gent and Notifier systems
  • Proven experience in field electrical and supervisory/management
  • Considerable demonstrable Fire Systems industry experience
  • Industry specific qualifications (FIA or equivalent)
  • You must be fully qualified, with a certificate in IOSH or SSSTS (Health and Safety)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Sound knowledge of contract terms and pricing
  • People management skills
  • Hold a full driving licence
  • Ability to create and build strong relationships, with a professional approach
