The Service Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting, selling, and renewing HVAC service contracts, and repair solutions. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying client needs, and providing tailored HVAC service solutions that generally promotes Energy Systems as the primary source for aftermarket parts and service of HVAC equipment.
Job Responsibility:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for HVAC service agreements and equipment upgrades
Selling new HVAC unit installations
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, and cold outreach
Conduct site visits to assess equipment conditions and present service recommendations
Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations to decision-makers
Build and maintain long term relationships with customers to drive repeat business and referrals
Provide timely follow up on proposals, contracts, and inquiries
Ensure smooth transition from sales to service delivery teams
Stay informed on HVAC products, services, and industry trends to effectively present solutions
Collaborate with technicians and engineers to create accurate service scopes and cost estimates
Understand competitor offerings and differentiate the company’s value proposition
Meet or exceed sales quotas for service agreements and revenue targets
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM system
Prepare regular sales reporting for management

Requirements:
Four-year college degree or equivalent HVAC sales experience is required
1 year cold call via phone and in person
1 year customer facing sales role that includes negotiation, presentation, and conflict resolution
Well-developed sales and presentation skills
Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment
Basic mechanical and technical aptitude including geometric and other mathematical formulas
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers
Basic marketing knowledge
Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well to changes in the market
Nice to have:
5+ years college degree or equivalent HVAC sales experience is required
Preferred experience selling preventative maintenance contracts in the HVAC industry
Knowledge of energy efficiency programs, rebates, and incentive offerings
Established customer network within the local commercial and industrial market
