This position is responsible for driving the Service sales order intake (OI), the service rental OI and the customer acquisition for the Service Water & Industrial Business Unit in Italy. It is accountable for the consolidation and expansion of the service presence, for the assessment of the rental market and for the development and deployment of the rental growth strategy. This position will operate through a proactive approach with the customer in cooperation with Sales functions and supporting functions ensuring the service sales excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Acquire solid understanding of services and rental performed within Sulzer, getting a sound knowledge of the reference market and competition landscape to guide the development of a growth roadmap of services and rental in Italy, reaching sales excellence according to Sulzer’s growth plan
Reach service order intake (OI) targets, rental order OI and new customer acquisition targets
Consolidate and expand service sales in Italy with a proactive approach in cooperation with Sales Managers, Area Managers and Key Account Managers, ensuring a solution-oriented approach
Assess the rental market landscape for the whole Sulzer portfolio and develop a growth strategy to meet sales and Customer acquisition targets
Drive the development of rental sales both directly and in coordination with Sales Managers, Area Managers and Key Account Managers ensuring a holistic solution-oriented approach
Develop complex technical and commercial proposals in coordination with supporting functions, ensuring Customer needs are met
Develop and maintain forecasts of sales, forecasts of unit demand through in-depth market knowledge, providing budgeting proposals for new units to be included in the rental fleet
Ensure and maintain proper communication with Service Operations for the timely refurbishment of rental units
Ensure the coordination in the orders execution together with the Service Operations and Backoffice teams, fostering execution excellence by ensuring timely and high-quality execution
Maintain a timely delivery and a high-quality release of reporting and accounting to Customers, ensuring completeness of information shared to supporting functions
Build customer relationships, identify key accounts, build trust with new customers in conjunction with Sales Managers, Area Managers and Key Account Managers
Provide timely and accurate advice and support to Sulzer colleagues and Customers, ensuring proper level of urgency and escalation to enhance the overall Customer experience
Coordinate specific service and rental campaign to drive service growth and awareness
Monitor customer needs (VOC- Voice of Customer), market trends, regulation, and competitive landscape
Provide forecast of sales to the Service Country Leader
track sales, order intake (OI) and profitability of assigned services
Adjust where needed the strategic price positioning and related value proposition of each service
Cooperate with other support functions and product managers throughout Sulzer
Review and draft technical documentation, instructions, marketing and training material as needed
Requirements:
Five years relevant experience as a Service Engineer, Service Manager, Sales Manager, Rental Specialist or similar positions
Experience in a related B2B service industry preferred, particularly pumps, process industry and/or equipment rental business
University Degree in Engineering or similar
Italian mothertongue
English (fluent)
