Join us as a Service Sales Manager – Food System Services based in Pune responsible for developing and executing service business opportunities for niche and customized equipment supplied through the Projects Engineering & Supply (PES) organization, including High-Speed Separators (HSS), Modules, Systems, Automation & Controls (EIA), Panels and related process equipment.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute service business opportunities for niche and customized equipment supplied through the Projects Engineering & Supply (PES) organization, including High-Speed Separators (HSS), Modules, Systems, Automation & Controls (EIA), Panels and related process equipment
Identify, qualify and develop service sales opportunities within the installed base
Driving growth of service products including Service Agreements, Service Kits and spare parts, Audits & Assessments, Upgrades & Retrofits, Performance Improvement Solutions, Digital and Lifecycle Service Offerings
Develop and execute strategies to increase service penetration across target industries and applications
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, plant managers, maintenance teams and technical stakeholders
Act as the primary contact for customers covered under FOS service concepts
Ensure a superior customer experience throughout the lifecycle of Alfa Laval equipment and systems
Provide application and technical support to customers and internal sales teams
Recommend optimized service solutions based on customer operating conditions and business needs
Support troubleshooting, assessments and value-based service discussions
Define and prepare service proposals, including scope, pricing and commercial terms
Manage service agreement renewals and expansion opportunities
Track service activities and opportunities through OneCRM
Ensure timely and accurate quotation, order handling and booking processes
Work closely with PES/FOS Capital Sales Team, Engineering & Supply Team, Product & Application Experts, Service Operations Team, Global and Regional PES Service Organizations
Support project execution teams in integrating lifecycle service philosophy into new projects
Coordinate service sales activities across Sales Companies, Service Centers and Global Stakeholders
Maintain and improve installed base quality and documentation
Develop lifecycle plans for key customers and critical equipment
Ensure customer asset visibility for future service opportunities
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements
Identify emerging service opportunities and value-added offerings
Support development of new service concepts for PES applications
Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline, forecasts and activity records in OneCRM
Ensure correct ALSIS booking and reporting
Provide periodic business reviews and performance updates
Support internal and customer training programs
Promote service awareness and lifecycle value selling across stakeholders
Share best practices across service and sales teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline
MBA or equivalent business qualification will be added advantage
6 to10 years of experience in Service Sales, Technical Sales, Application Engineering, Project Execution or Aftermarket Business
Experience in Food, Beverage, Brewery, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Edible Oil, Food Process Industries or similar sectors
Exposure to complex systems and engineered solutions preferred
Good understanding of High-Speed Separators (HSS)
