Job Description

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor Workshop, the Service Person ensures the PLS fleet of mobile equipment is maintained in a safe and mechanically sound condition to deliver maximum uptime for the Mining Group and to ensure that PLS interests are always protected. This is a permanent full-time role which operates on an 8/6 7/7 (days & nights) FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Job Responsibility

  • Comply with all PLS safety policies, procedures and statutory requirements
  • Maintain accurate service records, and ensure all servicing tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Inspect, service and maintain mobile equipment both in-workshop and in-pit, in accordance with site procedures and manufacturer's specifications
  • Operate service trucks to complete daily servicing and refuelling of heavy mobile equipment in accordance with supervisor instruction and mine plan
  • Communicate with the Mobile Maintenance Workshop Supervisor on day-to-day activities

Requirements

  • Education: High School or equivalent
  • Certificates: Forklift, WAH, EWP
  • Licenses: Current and Valid Driver's Licence (Minimum HR Class)
  • Strong commitment to Safety Culture
  • Minimum 2 years post trade mine site exposure and experience in Mobile Mining Equipment maintenance servicing across a variety of MEM equipment (Cat, Epiroc)
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Workshop standards, processes and techniques
  • Has proven strong collaborative and liaison skills and has good understanding of operations and equipment usage
