Service Manager for Adult Learning Disability Services on a 6-month fixed term basis. This is an important leadership role within the service, providing strong operational leadership, supporting staff teams and helping ensure the people we support continue to live safe, fulfilling and independent lives. The role is about leadership, relationships and quality.
Job Responsibility:
Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight to staff teams across the service
Support a deputy manager and staff to deliver high quality, person centred support
Ensure services operate safely, effectively and in line with regulatory expectations
Strengthen team confidence, supervision and accountability
Work closely with the senior leadership team to maintain quality and stability across services
Build positive relationships with families, professionals and external partners
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and quality systems remain strong
Requirements:
Strong experience managing services for adults with learning disabilities
Confidence in leading teams and supporting staff development
Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance in care services
Ability to build positive relationships with families and professionals
A calm, reflective and solutions-focused approach
Warmth, clarity and credibility in leadership
Nice to have:
A Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health & Social Care
