Are you an experienced Service Manager looking for an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest motor retailers in the UK? Here at Vertu Mercedes‑Benz, SMART and MG of Beaconsfield, we have the perfect role for you. We are offering a £60,000 basic salary with an OTE up to £85,000 and an excellent range of company benefits, including a company car. Mercedes‑Benz of Beaconsfield is a well-established and high-performing site, with a strong aftersales operation supporting three brands. The dealership features a 25+ bay workshop incorporating MG and is supported by an experienced Service Advisor and Administration team, providing a solid foundation for continued success. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in a similar position who can confidently lead an established operation.

Job Responsibility

  • To take responsibility for implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction levels, exceeding the manufacturer’s national average
  • To monitor and control costs in line with the business plan, whilst maintaining quality standards and exceptional customer service
  • To ensure accurate collection and recording of customer data in line with Group standards
  • To ensure manufacturer standards are adhered to at all times
  • To maintain a safe working environment for all colleagues
  • To monitor colleague performance and support ongoing development

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar position
  • Experience within a Service Manager role in the motor trade (minimum 12 months)
  • Ability to deliver strong results through improved performance, profitability and operational efficiency
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Assists the General Manager in restaurant operations and in achieving planned sales and profit levels for the restaurant through the implementation, management, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards
  • Provide direction for restaurant staff to ensure maximum guest satisfaction, ensuring execution of all employee duties to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction and a quality work environment
  • Ensures that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean safe, and sanitary manner, according to all established procedures, performance standards, and local health department regulations
  • Required, under certain circumstances, to perform/assist all functions for all positions in the restaurant
  • Ensures the unit's compliance to productivity and service standards with a sufficient number of well-trained and productive employees
  • Ensures proper management of the facility and equipment through preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security measures, and adherence to safety and sanitation requirements
  • Ensures that inventory levels for both food and non-food items are properly maintained in accordance with company guidelines through correct ordering procedures and efficient usage and yield application
  • Conducts employment activities to include staffing (hire/term responsibilities), training, and conducting performance reviews with all dining room personnel, as well as recommending salary increases and issuing employee work histories
  • Ensures accurate financial data to include: payroll, cash and receipts, productivity, food costs, and operating expenses
  • Responsible for all communications with regard to system breakdowns and deficiencies
