We are recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join Vertu Ford Orpington, a high‑volume, fast‑paced and demanding service operation. This role will suit someone who is comfortable operating in a busy environment and is motivated by challenge. The site requires a hands‑on, resilient leader who is prepared to get stuck in, drive change and rebuild consistency across the service department. You’ll take responsibility for a 15‑ramp workshop and a very busy service department, owning performance, profitability and customer experience.
Job Responsibility:
Full operational leadership of a high‑volume service department
Driving financial performance, efficiency and cost control
Embedding structure, process and accountability across the service team
Leading, coaching and developing your management and advisor teams
Ensuring manufacturer standards, compliance and health & safety requirements are consistently met
Improving customer satisfaction and retention in a demanding environment
Requirements:
Proven experience managing a busy, high‑pressure service operation
A hands‑on leadership style — you’re comfortable getting involved where needed
The ability to stabilise teams, drive standards and improve performance
Strong commercial awareness and people management skills
A full UK driving licence
