Come and make a real difference: we’re looking for a Service Manager to help make everyday remarkable for our friendly team in two services based in Caernarfon and Groeslon, Gwynedd. We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Service Manager, you can play a vital role in this.
Job Responsibility:
responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the support service
proactively engaging with the continued development of the service
provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, enabling them to provide quality, person centred support
building positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action
carry out frequent reviews of the support requirements provided, including service delivery plans, support plans, progress log and risk assessments
manage a team of support workers with responsibility for all aspects of team management and development
encouraging and coaching them to creatively problem solve and develop
achieving the highest levels of support and independence for the people we support to make everyday remarkable
personal care is involved in this role
Requirements:
experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
a strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
effective communication and the ability to influence others
a working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
Welsh language skills (essential) so you can effectively communicate with Welsh-speaking service users and meet their cultural and linguistic needs
a drivers licence with access to your own car and happy to travel for meetings and training
