Our client is a premier global technology group and market leader specializing in high-performance engineering components, systems, and advanced services. Serving key industries such as industrial compression, automotive, rotary systems, and industrial safety, they provide specialized solutions that enhance efficiency, maximize safety, and reduce emissions for industrial operations worldwide. With a strong local presence across Australia and the backing of a large multinational network, they offer a collaborative environment focused on engineering innovation and long-term sustainable growth. A global leader in industrial engineering and high-performance machinery is seeking a Service Manager to lead their Brisbane operations based in Murarrie. This is the ideal next step for a qualified mechanical tradesperson OR a team lead looking to get off the tools and step into a leadership role. You will report to the Managing Director. This is a pivotal residential leadership role where you will drive operational excellence across both workshop and field service environments. Managing a tight-knit team of skilled technicians, you will oversee day-to-day scheduling, champion workshop safety, and act as the primary technical point of contact for a diverse, heavy-industry client base.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and schedule daily workflows for field service jobs and workshop projects
  • Mentor and lead a small team (5-15 people) of qualified mechanical tradespeople to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Maintain strong relationships with industrial accounts, offering proactive technical solutions and swift issue resolution
  • Streamline workshop systems and procedures to boost efficiency and consistency
  • Cultivate a rigorous safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with quality and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification (Fitter, Mechanical or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing technical teams (3-15 people) within a field service or heavy workshop environment (you are a Workshop Manager, Team Lead or Field Service Manager).
  • Computer literacy: outlook, word, excel
  • A valid Australian driver's licence and a current passport are required.

Nice to have

Experience working within heavily regulated sectors such as Oil & Gas, compression technology, or heavy industrial processing.

What we offer

  • $120,000 - $135,000 salary
  • Annual company bonus scheme
  • Excellent culture and supportive teams
  • Highly stable global company
  • A genuinely supportive management network and a collaborative, positive workplace culture.
