Job Description

We’re looking to recruit a Service Manager who is ready to step up and lead a busy, well-established and profitable Agricultural and Groundcare machinery service department. We’re a respected dealership approaching 200 years of heritage and a business that is continuing to expand. Our Stockbridge depot is a strong, well-supported location serving farming businesses and professional Groundcare customers across Hampshire and the wider areas. The workshop is busy, the team is experienced and the foundations are in place. What’s needed now is the right Service Manager with the ambition to take it forward to the next level.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure the efficient, effective and productive use of resources, workshop facilities and equipment – managing costs and maximising profitability
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of skilled service technicians, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment that reflects T H WHITE’s commitment to teamwork and personal development
  • Develop and maintain positive and lasting relationships with our customers

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience running a busy service department within agriculture or a related sector such as groundcare, construction plant, commercial vehicles or material handling
  • Alternatively a commercially focused Senior Technician looking to take the step into a Service Manager role
  • Strong communication skills with an understanding of how to get the best from technicians of different ages and abilities
  • Commercial awareness and a knowledge of key financial indicators and workshop KPI’s
  • The ability to deliver customer service excellence
