Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage a team of around 15 frontline staff within an independent living service
Support 4 young people with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs
Ensure team supports individuals without prejudgment or stereotyping
Use person-centred planning techniques to deliver excellent support practices
Develop robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments
Manage individual budgets in a supported living setting
Responsible for overall supervision, quality assurance, monitoring, regulatory requirements and day to day management of the staff team
Accountable for overall management of the Service
Ensure all aspects of support and service delivery meet the needs and preferences of the people supported
Report into a more experienced Service Leader (Level 3)
Drive performance, set pace and direction within services
Promote a positive and passionate culture
Ensure services are appropriately and effectively resourced
Requirements:
Experience working in complex care within a social or health care setting
Professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England)
Full, clean UK driving license and own car
Knowledge and experience of working with client group using person-centred planning techniques
Experience supporting individuals with complex mental health concerns
Experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management
Comfortable using basic IT systems
