Our partner is one of the largest global players in the energy industry and is looking for a Service Engineer for global projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform commissioning of turbines during COLD and HOT commissioning phases, from single components to the full system (Turbine and auxiliaries), including functional tests and logic interlocks verification
  • Contribute to planning and implementing commissioning activities, supporting, and coordinating installation activities with the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager
  • Implement commissioning design changes and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation
  • Identify technical or schedule problems as they occur, take vital actions to resolve them, and bring up challenging issues to higher levels, offering expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and customers
  • Review and execute the project scope in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Collaborate with the project team, providing daily detailed reports on commissioning activities and progress
  • Provide recommendations to customers based on specifications and requirements
  • Understanding of industry standards for Quality and HSE
  • Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to established company procedures and quality standards
  • Actively promote and manage a zero-harm safety culture on-site during all project phases

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process), or a High School Diploma
  • General understanding of technical equipment and the ability to work with technical documentation
  • Experience in power plant operations, Oil & Gas operations, or specific Gas turbine operations and maintenance is an advantage
  • Digital literacy and proficiency in relevant IT applications (Microsoft Office)
  • additional IT skills are helpful
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude with a readiness to take on additional tasks to improve the status quo
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity for technology and innovation in the service industry, combined with a proactive and convincing attitude
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, multitask, and solve problems in a complex environment while collaborating with international teams
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time, typically on site for 200 days per year (worldwide projects)
