Job Description:

The Teradyne Storage field service team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Field Service Engineer who is: Proven to be effective in consistently applying technical knowledge in achieving field service team department goals, include the system KPI, customer satisfaction, cost reduction or productivity breakthrough for Department or customers. Proven to be effective in working with engineers, customers, product support group, and operations, etc. in terms of improving the production system uptime, MTBF, MCBA, MTTR, to improve the slot availability to meet the commitment to customer.

Job Responsibility:

  • On-site service of the production (tester) system at the customer OSAT factories, include the downtime trouble shooting, jam recover, utilization improvement
  • Performing the new system installation or any upgrade or retrofits
  • Data collection and data first level analysis to find the issues root causes such as the mechanical, electrical and automation problems
  • Daily on duty reporting of the major issues to the team
  • Preventative maintenance per guidelines periodically
  • Issues reporting and escalations internally
  • Hold and represent TER to attend weekly 3-way meeting between customer, OSAT and TER

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics or mechanical
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in Electronical or Mechanical or semiconductor areas
  • Familiar in automation testing, with automation equipment & testers maintenance experience is preferred
  • Rich skills to do the Automation logs, testing logs analysis
  • Can communicate in English fluently both in writing and talking, can communicate by Chinese is preferred
  • Strong reporting skills to use MS office, especially to use PPT
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork skills
  • Able to business trip occasionally both in domestic and abroad
  • Able to accept the shift work or Overtime work if needed
  • Strong skills to do the timing, ownership, and priority management

Nice to have:

  • Familiar in automation testing, with automation equipment & testers maintenance experience is preferred
  • Can communicate by Chinese is preferred

  • Follow up the inventory and secure sufficient stock of fabrics at the mill in cooperation with customer representatives and Valmet product sales manager/engineer
  • Attend every shut down/start up and visually inspect Valmet fabrics prior to installation to make sure the clothing is correct and worth installing.
  • Supervise and monitor the installation of Valmet fabrics into machines
  • Work together with Valmet mill sales manager and product sales manager to identify sales leads and to provide technical support and solutions for customer
