Job Description

To carry out servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems. To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date. To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to. To ensure compliance with the GFS management system as it applies to this position. The role is field based, covering opportunities nationwide, with a specific need in South East of London. The company offers training for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility

  • Carry out servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems
  • Ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date
  • Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to
  • Ensure compliance with the GFS management system
  • Carry out fire extinguisher and Ansul fire suppression system servicing and remedials at various sites such as restaurants and hotels
  • Provide a good level of customer service and professional manner at all times
  • Arrange your own diary and book in appointments with clients
  • Complete paperwork and reports to be sent back in a timely manner
  • Take part in the on call rota alongside your colleagues
  • Ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety
  • Monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment
  • Keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems
  • Qualifications to service fire extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems in accordance with British Standards
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices
  • Strong customer care focus
  • Be proactive and capable of anticipating potential faults
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights of up to 25kg
  • UK Driving Licence

Nice to have

  • Experience of Ansul R102 systems
  • Experience servicing extinguishers or another suppression/sprinkler system
  • Experience in BT/Sky installations
  • Chef background
