Job Description

Vertu Vauxhall Macclesfield are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Service Driver to join our busy Aftersales team! This is a zero hours contract with an hourly payrate of £12.21. Our Drivers play a vital part in the smooth running of our dealership and help us deliver the exceptional service standards that Vertu Motors are known for. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of vehicles, ensuring every customer receives a professional and friendly handover experience. You’ll represent our dealership on the road, so reliability, courtesy, and attention to detail are essential.

  • Emptying septic tanks, portable mains connected toilets and chemical toilets, disposing of such waste in the correct manner
  • When required delivering toilets to customers, collecting toilets at the end of the hire and in the interim carrying out regular servicing and cleaning of those toilets
  • Inspecting all toilets on collection to ensure they are in good order, recording all visible damage, excessive dirtiness, missing items etc.
  • Ensuring all necessary company paperwork is completed in the correct manner to avoid disputes at a later date i.e. signatures obtained for time of delivery / collection, damage sustained or missing plant
  • Ensuring toilet service books are completed and filed
  • Driving company vehicles in a safe, courteous and responsible manner, including operating within the necessary transport regulations with regard to driving hours and operating tachograph (where necessary) according to Ministry of Transport requirements
  • Operating all lifting equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with all Company Safety Directives and method statements
  • Loading and unloading toilets in accordance with safe practice, the Company's Safety Directives and Method Statements
  • Ensuring axle weights are not exceeded
  • Carrying out daily checks of vehicle and any lifting / holding equipment (including straps and chains), recording any defects and reporting them to the Foreman / Toilet Manager.
