We're looking for a front-line Service Desk Technician that is customer service focused, to provide end-user support to a global user base. This role focuses on end-user satisfaction and blends technical problem-solving with exceptional customer service/communication skills. It is vital that this role is carried out in a professional manner. As a Service Desk Technician, you will make an impact on employee productivity by resolving technical issues efficiently, collaborating and escalating to other IT teams, and thoroughly communicating updates. Through responsive customer focused support, you will contribute to day-to-day operations across the organization. You will be a valued member of the Service Desk team and work collaboratively across all IT Teams for timely resolutions.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate clear and consistent communication within the team, with peers, and management
Act as a liaison between service desk and other business units and provide status of progress to the customer
Ensure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention
Serve as a point of contact for technical support, resolving a wide range of hardware, software, connectivity and operating issues for local and global employees, for production and lab facilities
Resolve problems related to desktop computers, laptops, printers, copiers, scanners, software applications, etc
Identify emerging trends and issues and makes suggestions for technical solutions to solve current and possible future problems
Requirements:
Working experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365, ticketing systems, etc.)
Experience supporting applications related to manufacturing, and logistics is preferred
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
High attention to detail, take direction well and follow-through
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong technical background, problem solving skills combined with a customer focus mindset and strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Mandatory French and English speaking
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 2 years on a global technical team
Ability to lift 10 Kg
