Are you currently working in a 1st Line Support position and ready for the next step in your IT career? This opportunity is ideal for someone who has built a solid foundation in IT support and is looking to move into a more technical role within a busy Managed Service Provider. You’ll take on more complex issues, work closely with experienced senior engineers, and gain exposure to a wide range of technologies, clients, and projects. You’ll be supported in developing your technical skills while taking greater ownership of incidents, troubleshooting, and infrastructure-related work.
Job Responsibility
Investigate and resolve support issues escalated from 1st Line teams
Support users across Microsoft 365, Windows environments, servers, networking, and business applications
Work alongside senior engineers to diagnose and resolve more complex technical problems
Manage and prioritise tickets in line with agreed service levels
Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects
Carry out routine maintenance and health checks across client environments
Create and maintain clear technical documentation
Contribute ideas to improve support processes and service delivery
Requirements
Experience within a 1st Line Support, IT Support, Service Desk, or Helpdesk role
Strong troubleshooting skills and a genuine interest in developing technically
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
Understanding of ticketing systems and working to SLAs
Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
IT qualifications or certifications would be beneficial but are not essential
Microsoft certifications or training in Microsoft 365, Azure, or Windows technologies would be advantageous
Full UK driving licence
