Our client, a leading innovator in the European energy sector, is rapidly evolving its digital ecosystem to meet the demands of a modern, sustainable world. We are looking for an Interim Service Designer to join their Digital & Marketing team in Brussels. In this role, you won't just be designing screens; you will be shaping the future of how residential and business customers interact with energy services. You will bridge the gap between traditional digital experiences and the next generation of Conversational AI, autonomous agents, and predictive systems.
Job Responsibility:
Apply Design Thinking to co-create solutions across web and mobile platforms
Work within a cross-functional squad of UX/UI designers, product owners, and developers to ensure technology enhances the user journey rather than complicating it
Mapping ecosystems and creating service blueprints that integrate human insight with AI-assisted capabilities
Leading qualitative research (interviews, usability testing) to uncover unmet user needs and translating them into actionable design opportunities
Facilitating workshops and design sprints to visualize the next-generation customer zone and AI-augmented interactions
Promoting design thinking and human-AI collaboration principles across the entire organization
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in Service Design and a proven track record in applying Design Thinking methodologies
Pro in Figma (wireframing/prototyping) and Miro (journey mapping/facilitation)
Strong interest or experience in designing for AI-assisted user experiences and adaptive interface patterns
Fluent in English (knowledge of Dutch or French is a significant plus)
Autonomous, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced Agile environments
Know how to balance creative vision with business KPIs and technical constraints
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Dutch or French
