Experience Designers are responsible for the design of digitally-enabled products and services. They use their skillset across interaction design, visual design and technology to create holistic solutions, from early-stage idea generation to detailed design of product features and prototypes. You will support teams on client-facing projects, pitches and internal initiatives. You will learn by doing, with guidance from experienced practitioners who will help you understand frog’s methodologies and deliver high-quality work in the context of interdisciplinary projects.
Job Responsibility:
Analyse existing solutions, identify gaps or pain points, and map opportunity spaces
Understand user needs, market opportunities, business requirements, and technical feasibility to help define project requirements
Conduct and synthesise foundational research interviews and usability testing sessions
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create digital product experience concepts that push the bar for quality within a given field
Execute the detailed design of selected with strong interaction logic and visual language
Create digital design artifacts (user flows, UI mock-ups, and prototypes) that demonstrate product behavior for defined use cases and features, including products in the GenAI space
Support successful handover of project outcomes to the client through persuasive presentations and thorough documentation
Apply holistic critical thinking and see beyond one discipline or workstream
Requirements:
Business level fluency in English and German
Recently completed a university degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communications, HCI, or a related design discipline (we also accept interns who are in the middle of a Masters degree)
Strong foundational design skills in typography, color, layout and visual hierarchy
Knowledge of interaction patterns across mobile/desktop platforms and experience defining product logic through site maps, user flows, wireframes, etc.
Experience applying established brand guidelines and working with UI component libraries
Proficiency in digital design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
Ability to rationalise your decisions effectively and present your work clearly, through strong presentation design and storytelling techniques
A product development mindset, including openness to collaborating with business and tech teams, working iteratively based on user feedback, technical constraints, etc.
Willingness to jump between different client challenges and up-skill quickly onto new projects
Affinity with frog’s values, and a passion for creating products that meet peoples’ functional and emotional needs
Nice to have:
Knowledge of digital accessibility and eco-design principles
A solid understanding of AI concepts, especially LLM capabilities and constraints, and considerations for creating an AI-driven product or functional prototype
Experience building scalable design language systems for digital products
Skills in motion design and/or video editing
Understanding of basic front-end coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
Experience working with Agile scrum tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
