Job Description:

We are looking for a Deli 2IC in 2026, someone who leads by example with an excellent work ethic and professional conduct, strong time management and communication skills, someone who enjoys planning, organizing, and managing the day-to-day operation of our Deli Department, alongside our Deli Manager. Our 2IC plays a vital role in ensuring our customers have access to a premium range of products, is a team player and “will roll their sleeves up, to get the job completed”.

Job Responsibility:

  • Making daily decisions regarding the preparation of Deli products
  • Assigning daily tasks to the team
  • Ensuring production is achieved to a high standard every day
  • Upskilling and training new and existing staff

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Previous supervisor/management experience in a supermarket or similar setting would be an advantage
  • A high level of computer skills, including Excel & Rostering
  • Awesome customer service skills
  • Proven Health & Safety/Food Safety compliance experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
