Job Responsibility

  • Person‑centred planning — Designing and implementing tailored support plans that promote independence, inclusion, and wellbeing
  • Activity leadership — Facilitating meaningful, engaging activities based on individual preferences and abilities
  • Team leadership — Working alongside Support Workers, modelling best practice, and maintaining high standards of care
  • Supervising and mentoring Shift Leaders to ensure consistent, high‑quality support
  • Deputising for the Deputy Manager during periods of leave
  • Conducting staff supervisions, team meetings, and performance reviews
  • Providing on‑call support on a rotational basis
  • Developing, reviewing, and updating bespoke care plans
  • Creating and promoting Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
  • Completing Nourish compliance checks and weekly audits
  • Maintaining strong communication with healthcare professionals
  • Supporting medication management, including administration, ordering, auditing, and staff training

Requirements

  • Experience overseeing a care team supporting adults with learning disabilities (Deputy Manager level desirable)
  • Proven experience delivering engaging activities for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Support Worker role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A full UK driving licence
