Addus is searching for a Service Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating administrative, business and other operational activities such as HR, payroll, scheduling direct service staff and resolving client issues in conjunction with the Branch Manager or Agency Director. The Service Coordinator ensures that all clients receive the best service possible and according to the care plan.
Job Responsibility:
Creates work schedules by entering schedules into the system, manages changes to client schedules due to client request, illness, vacation or leaves of absence
Processes patient authorizations and communicates with central admissions, enter reauthorizations into client record and ensures chart preparation for all new clients
Provides alternate coverage to ensure the client’s care plan is followed and client services are not interrupted
Contacts care providers and clients to provide service updates
Conducts monthly client wellness calls and conducts home visits as required
Provides thorough, complete follow-through on escalated client complaints and theft claims
Supervises direct service employees by setting expectations for attendance, performance and conduct by holding employees accountable to the company’s policies and guidelines
Answering telephones, filing, data entry, scanning and preparing reports
Works on a variety of special projects as needed with multi-tasking as necessary
Demonstrates accurate knowledge of services of the Company and provide information by answering questions and requests
Ensures the appearance of the branch’s open environment is professional: neat, clean, orderly and generally free of clutter
Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
Follows all MCO, Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements
Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of scheduling and office experience required
Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Scheduling program
Reliable transportation
Assesses work load and re-prioritize as needed, handling multiple task under tight deadlines
Works under pressure and deals with interruptions and other unexpected events and make necessary adjustments
Interacts professionally with all levels of management and staff
