Job Description

The role will be part of a team that have rostered a 365/24/7 support regime and will involve both planned and unplanned maintenance activities. This role may also involve providing support to project teams to carry out design, engineering and commissioning activities on site. The Maintenance Engineer will be required to work independently and within a technical service team providing support for systems across the UK. You will liaise and collaborate with both internal engineers and external customers across the UK.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertaking all aspects of work associated with SCADA / BMS / SISS / Mobile Solutions
  • Technical Support to Telephone Helpdesk
  • Execution of Planned Maintenance Activities
  • To communicate effectively with customers and internal engineering teams
  • Provide support when required to the sales team for the preparation of contract quotations
  • Engagement with client at Service Contract Review Meetings
  • Support in the Preparation of system designs
  • Engineering of systems, factory testing and site commissioning works
  • Excellent Stakeholder collaboration skills, customer focused and good communication skills enabling excellent relationship building

Requirements

  • Electrical/Technical Engineering qualification, HNC or HND
  • Knowledge of control solutions and systems integration
  • Knowledge of PLC technologies (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Rockwell, etc)
  • Knowledge of SCADA applications
  • Flexible to travel across the UK
  • Possess a full clean driving licence
  • Undertake IPAF and PASMA Training
  • Ability to Code in “C, Assembler, Visual Basic, Scripting Macros”
  • Ability to Configure “Silworx, GX Works and Iconics”
  • Ability to configure Iconics, Iconics HMI Screens and GOT HMI
  • Knowledge of system protocols (e.g. MT700, Modbus, DNP3)
  • Capable of configuring, programming, creating HMI Screens
  • Manage own Authorisation to Site Works (PTS/ERA/Pink Ticket etc)
  • Knowledge of RTU Interfaces
  • Have a detailed understanding of the BS, ISO, Safety, CDM standards
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Workshop practises to company standards including Soldering, PCB repairs, electrical wiring, crimping, understanding panel drawings and product assembly techniques
  • Use of a Multimeter and Oscilloscopes

  • Perform commissioning of turbines during COLD and HOT commissioning phases, from single components to the full system (Turbine and auxiliaries), including functional tests and logic interlocks verification
