We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Field Service Technician to join our Platinum Level Service Team and assist in providing top-notch service to our clients in Wisconsin. The Apprentice Program will require travel to our Set Up & Training Facility during the initial onboarding to learn and develop the necessary skillset to do the job. We will cover any costs of travel and pay for commute and drive time. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical, electrical, and computer aptitude who are eager to start a career in technology. While prior experience in repairing copiers and printers is a plus, we are committed to training individuals who show promise and enthusiasm for the role.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues on office equipment, including copiers and printers, at client locations
Support the inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment during service calls to ensure it operates at peak performance
Accurately document work performed, including parts used and service provided, using our mobile app
Communicate with dispatch and organize daily service calls using a mobile app
Assist in maintaining parts inventory by reporting parts used and verifying proper restock
Travel to various client locations, ensuring excellent customer service and providing timely solutions
Work under the guidance of experienced technicians while gradually developing technical skills and knowledge
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Basic computer skills and a desire to expand technical expertise in office equipment repair
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Flexible mindset and ability to adjust to changing job demands
Valid driver’s license is required
Previous experience or exposure to repairing copiers, printers, or other office equipment is preferred but not necessary
Knowledge of Xerox, Sharp, HP, and/or Kyocera products is a plus
