Are you interested in being a part of a technically driven team and deepen your knowledge of gas turbine maintenance concepts? We are now looking for a service application engineer for our customer Siemens Energy in Finspång. Do you like to be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, grow technical competence and challenge yourself in an international environment this is the role for you. This is a dynamic role which involves responsibility of sales support and also be a part of maintenance projects. You will prepare technical scopes and prepare sales proposals. Further, you will be supportive in maintenance projects, and work close to project managers and field service teams. We see that you have an education in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related fields). You have technical experience with gas turbines or other types of rotating equipment and want to grow in that area. It is important with good collaboration and communication skills in this role, since you have a lot of contact with different teams, and both internal and external stakeholders. Other skills that is eligible is to be adaptable, good at problem-solving, and be able to coordinate technical dialogues and lead meetings. The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and to be fluent in english language as well as proficiency in IT-systems and tools related to engineering and maintenance.

Job Responsibility

  • Define technical scopes, upgrade projects, including scoping for sales and execution phases and collaborate to prepare detailed parts scopes
  • Recommend service, modifications, and improvements to enhance performance, availability, and reliability
  • Bring technical proposals to meet client expectations and specific requirement
  • Define site activities, tooling, instruments, spare parts, and consumables needed for overhauls
  • Resolve customer issues by proposing technical solutions
  • Lead execution of maintenance projects as technical lead
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams
  • Maintain technical support throughout the project lifecycle for successful delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Provide technical feedback and scope details for the turbines under your responsibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields)
  • Technical experience with gas turbines or other types of rotating equipment
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficiency in IT systems and tools related to engineering and maintenance

  • Experience with medium-sized gas turbine maintenance
