Job Description

We are a specialist education recruitment agency supplying high-quality temporary staff into schools. We’re now looking for a Service Administrator / Recruitment Resourcer to support a new, growing service line in our South Yorkshire team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start a career in recruitment, or you may have some experience in resourcing but want a clearer path into a recruitment role that might not be on offer where you are. We are an office-based company, working Monday–Friday, 8/8.30am–4.30/5pm. This role sits at the heart of our recruitment team. While compliance and safeguarding remain important, your focus will be on resourcing, candidate engagement, and building a strong pool of available staff for our schools. You’ll work closely with an experienced senior recruiter, learning how to attract candidates, manage pipelines, conduct interviews, and deliver an excellent candidate experience with structured training and development towards becoming a 360 recruiter.

Job Responsibility

  • Source candidates through job boards, databases, referrals, and advertising responses
  • Engage with candidates via phone, email, and video calls to assess availability and suitability
  • Conduct initial telephone and video interviews to support the recruitment pipeline
  • Maintain a ready-to-work candidate pool to meet school demand
  • Act as a key contact for candidates throughout their journey
  • Keep candidates informed, engaged, and supported with opportunities and bookings
  • Assist with compliance tasks, including right to work, DBS, and qualification checks
  • Gather references and help ensure safeguarding standards are maintained
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the recruitment system
  • Support the recruitment team with day-to-day tasks and contribute as a reliable team member

Requirements

  • Previous experience in recruitment as a candidate resourcer or similar
  • A drive to work in a sales team, and work to team targets
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, you will be liaising with candidates and the recruitment team daily
  • Confidence in managing compliance processes and safeguarding requirements – we will train you
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment
